Charter School Reforms Proposed in Florida

“Florida's 358 charter schools need greater academic scrutiny and tighter fiscal supervision, according to recommendations being released today by the state Senate.

In particular, a report by the Senate Education Committee takes aim at the large numbers of charters that do not receive the annual state grades handed out to public schools and financial arrangements that have taken money from the classroom,” reports the Orlando Sentinel.
